In 2013, Hauk Foundation began the mission to empower young girls and women; engaging in activities, sensitisation, workshops and empowerment programs targeted to open independent and group opportunities for development on every front.
2020 has had the most recorded cases of violence worldwide.
Covid-19 brought with it the need for Lockdown which had some negative psychological effects on some couples.
Some women experienced physical violence by their spouse for the very first time.
With an overwhelming statistic of 1 in every 3 women suffering domestic violence in a lifetime, it is important that every single one of us takes responsibility for this dastard act.
Our theme for this year is ” Responsibility & Violence “.
